The Beach
The dog friendly
beach is just a 400 metre walk from the property. The 7 mile long sandy beach and
dunes has Brean Down at one end and Burnham on Sea at the other. Brean
has the second largest tidal movement in the world, with the difference between
high and low water being as much as 3/4 mile.
There are many pathways on and off the beach throughout the village, and for the less able if you drive to the far end nearer Brean Down you can drive onto the beach, or the National Trust Car Park overlooks the beach.
Please note at low tide, vast expanses of mud flats are exposed and are dangerous if you walk (or drive) too far out at low tide.
